Ita Semillon ‘1 of 2’ (2022) – Fermented and aged in stainless steel, this shows a brilliant lemon-gold color and floral aromas of Anjou pear, white peach, Crenshaw melon, Key lime, pear tree blossoms, meadow flowers, lemongrass and wet stone. The flavors are simultaneously viscous and brisk, with notes of pear and grape skins and saline minerals. The back reveals poire and pêche liqueurs, hazelnuts, beeswax, melon rind and lime zest, followed by a nicely juiced moderate alcohol (13.6%) finish.
