We are excited to invite you to our next tasting event, an exploration of red wine blends from Washington! Join us on Wednesday, June 12 at 6 p.m. as our own Travis Doyle leads us through five fantastic wines from this incredible wine producing state.
Although the history of the Washington wine industry here is relatively short, the state boasts 900 or more wineries and 350 plus independent wine grape growers, with over 20,000 hectares (50,000 acres) of vineyards. Almost all wine production occurs in Washington’s hot, desert-like eastern part and the region produces quality wines from nearly 70 different grape varieties. This wide diversity of grape varieties lends itself to some incredible blends, inspired from around the world. This event will feature red blends from across Washington that rival those from Bordeaux, Rhône, and Portugal.
