Occhipinti Wines

We are thrilled to invite you to our next tasting event, where we will sample wines from Sicilian winery Arianna Occhipinti! Join us on Wednesday, July 17 at 6 p.m. as our General Manager Travis Doyle leads us through five fantastic wines from one of his favorite winemakers.

Arianna Occhipinti fell in love with wine at a young age and began producing under her own label at 22 years old. She is now one of the most well-respected winemakers in Sicily. Occhipinti believes in traditional, artisanal winemaking techniques to emphasize the authenticity of the terroir. She uses minimal intervention in her winemaking and farming – natural yeast fermentation, aging in cement, no filtration, cover crops, and no irrigation. She calls her wines “a pure expression of the territory of origin whose identity and originality should be preserved as much as possible.”

Arianna crafts wine mainly from Sicilian red varietals Frappato and Nero d’Avola. At this tasting event, we will have the opportunity to taste blends of these two grapes, as well as single varietals, plus an orange wine made with 100% Grillo.
