Sleight of Hand ‘The Illusionist’ Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (2020) – This vintage of the Illusionist Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is especially dark and intense, due largely to the tiny crop size (we averaged just under two tons per acre). 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc, it was aged for 20 months in 60% new French oak, and has classic notes of pencil lead, blueberries, black currants, tobacco, and plums. The dark fruits are offset by a floral note along with an earthy elegance on the long and persistent finish. This wine will easily age for the next two decades. It’s best served with great food and great friends.
