Samuel Billaud Chablis (2021) – Samuel Billaud is a Chablis producer located in the northernmost wine region of Burgundy, France. The producer is known for its high-quality, terroir-driven Chablis wines that express the unique minerality and freshness of the region. The wines are typically aged in stainless steel tanks or oak barrels, depending on the cuvée. The Samuel Billaud Chablis (2021) wines are known for their balance of fruit and acidity, as well as their minerality and purity of expression.
The usual three plots yielding an acceptable 25-30hl/ha. Fine and pale colour, the bouquet is correct but discreet, while showing Samuel’s habitual finesse. Really quite steely on the palate with a little squeeze of citrus, and impeccable length. Another tribute to the brilliance of Samuel Billaud’s vinification. Drink from 2024-2027.
