Meo-Camuzet Chambolle-Musigny (2021) – The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Village is pretty on the nose, not powerful, but offers brambly red fruit intermixed with truffle and a touch of mint. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chewy tannins on the entry, almost Morey-like, quite sapid on the finish.
A reasonably full purple and attractively perfumed on the nose, the floral side of raspberry. There is a light wood reduction too, as not yet racked. Shows even more on the palate, with some tannins too. Still, there is plenty to this Gevrey and once it has reached the right moment for bottling, I think we shall have a good wine. This may be a conservative assessment now. Drink from 2025-2030.
