M. Chapoutier Petite Ruche Crozes-Hermitage (2020)

Product Description

M. Chapoutier Petite Ruche Crozes-Hermitage (2020) – M. Chapoutier Petite Ruche Crozes-Hermitage (2020) is a red wine produced in the northern Rhone Valley region of France, specifically in the Crozes-Hermitage appellation. The wine is made from 100% Syrah grapes grown on granite and alluvial soils. The nose is complex and intense with notes of red fruit, black pepper, and subtle hints of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with silky tannins and flavors of ripe berries, spices, and a touch of oak. The finish is long and elegant with a slight smokiness. This wine is an excellent representation of the Syrah grape from the Crozes-Hermitage region and can be enjoyed now or aged for a few more years to allow the flavors to further develop.

What the Experts say

Jeb Dunnuck

The 2020 Crozes Hermitage La Petite Ruche is a real gem in the vintage, offering juicy darker fruits, some classic peppery, gamey, bacon fat-like characteristics, medium body, supple tannins, and a clean, lengthy finish. All destemmed and brought up mostly in concrete, it would make one screaming good house red to drink over the coming 2-4 years, if not longer.
