Louis Michel Chablis 1er Cru ‘Forets’ (2021) – The 2021 Forêts had the most draconian yields in this vintage, with production eighty percent down. It is too bad, as the wine is excellent in quality. The nose wafts from the glass in a youthful blend of lemon, tart orange, pear, flinty minerality, white flowers and a nice topnote of lime zest. On the palate the wine is pure, precise and full, with a fine core, bight acids and excellent focus and grip on the long and very well-balanced finish.
