La Staffa ‘Rincrocca’ Verdicchio Riserva (2018)

The 2018 Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Riserva Rincrocca is delicate and perfumed, with notes of sweet basil and sage giving way to orange oils and freshly sliced pears. It takes a more energetic turn on the palate. Silky with zesty acidity and ripe orchard fruits, it finds contrast in notes of sour citrus and exotic spice. This leaves a coating of primary concentration through the long, tense and light finale, promising years of further development. Give the 2018 some time in the cellar to allow its bouquet to fully develop. I personally can’t wait to check in on this again a few years down the road
