The stunning 2021 ‘Figlia’ is a one of a kind blend of equal parts Merlot and Petit Verdot — both coming from the estate vineyard owned by Chris Figgins. Stored in only 26% new French oak, the ‘Figlia’ is a brooding, inky and beautifully-poised monster of a wine at this moment that really needs an hour or two of air before savoring. Pencil lead, violets, tar, tobacco leaf, heady dark and blue fruits alongside shades of espresso grounds all mark the nose. The hugely complex nose brings you back to the glass for more indulgence. The palate is elegant and refined, with a smooth texture and beautiful sense of finesse and weight.
