Domaine Robert Chevillon Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru ‘Les Chaignots’ (2021) – Chaignots comes from the old French word “Chasne”, which gave the modern word “chesne” then “chêne” (oak in modern French), with the Burgundy suffix “ot”. Place where oaks grow. Complex, intensely aromatic richness to the nose. Fruity nuances evolve towards soft floral scents. With ageing, balsamic, venison, musk and liquorice notes complete a fine, subtle and distinguished aromatic range.
