Not yet bottled, the 2020 Châteauneuf Du Pape is 70% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre, and the rest a mix of Counoise, Cinsault, and other varieties. Tasting like the essence of Provence with its ground pepper, herbes de Provence, leather, and exotic spice-driven aromas and flavors, it’s medium to full-bodied and offers building tannins, terrific balance, and a great finish. I’d buy it.
