Wine Tasting – Valdemar Estates

Join us on Wednesday, March 31 at 6 p.m. for an extraordinary tasting event featuring five exquisite wines from Valdemar Estates in Walla Walla, Washington. Immerse yourself in the rich history of a winery that spans two continents and five generations, while savoring flavors that beautifully encapsulate the fusion of Spanish heritage and American innovation. Guiding us through this journey is Valdemar Estates’ gifted winemaker, Devyani Gupta, who brings her unique perspective and love for the craft to every wine she produces.

Valdemar Estates traces its roots back to 1889, when Joaquin Martínez Bujanda started a family tradition of winemaking in the town of Oyón, Northern Spain. His descendants kept this tradition alive and established Bodegas Valdemar in the 1980s.In a bold move in 2019, the family expanded their horizons and founded Valdemar Estates in Washington State, the first winery in the area with international ownership.

Columbia Valley Chardonnay 2020     
Attractive aromas of Anjou pear, lemon pith, and marzipan. More pear on the palate along with notes of pineapple, fennel and subtle baking spices leading to a silky finish with cleansing acidity.

‘Entre Nosotros’ Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2020       
Bold aromas of blackberries, plums, and roasted dark chocolate. More powerful black fruit on the palate enhanced by a savory twist of roasted coffee beans.

Walla Walla Valley Syrah 2020 
Aromas of red and black fruit, a hint of star anise, baking chocolate, freshly tilled earth, and a touch of fig. Savory and stylish with a robust mid-palate. Fine-grained tannins and considerable intensity.

Walla Walla Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2020         
Vivid notes of black cherry, licorice, herb and spice. Polished, seamless, generous but still reserved fruit flavors follow. Black-tea tannins provide support.

Klipsun Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
Aromas of red cherry, earth and sweet spice. Mouthfeel is full and rich, with notes of dark chocolate and cherry. Long, lush and balanced finish.
