We are excited to announce our next tasting event featuring the red wines of Bordeaux! Join us on Thursday, January 25 at 6 p.m. as our General ManagerTravis Doyle leads us on a tour of this esteemed wine-making region. We have selected five Bordeaux wines, each representing a unique appellation. Each of these wines are primarily composed of Cabernet Sauvignon and this event will showcase the versatility and depth this grape achieves in different parts of Bordeaux.
From the structured and complex wines of Saint-Estèphe to the elegant and refined expressions from Margaux, each wine in our selection tells a story of its origin. Whether you’re a seasoned Bordeaux lover or new to these wines, this event promises to deepen your appreciation for the rich tapestry of Bordeaux’s wine-making tradition.
Join us for an evening of discovery and indulge in the nuanced world of Bordeaux wines. We can’t wait to share this exceptional experience with you!
BORDEAUX TASTING LINEUP:
Château Le Boscq Saint Estephe 2018
The 2018 Château Le Boscq offers a deep purple hue as well as a rocking nose of blue fruits, plums, violets, damp earth, and flowers. Rich and medium-bodied, it has a wonderfully sweet core of fruit and a great finish.
Château Belgrave Haut Médoc 2014
Dark currant and black cherry fruit encases a subtle cast iron hint, while a smoldering alder whiff curls around the finish. A seductive style, with an old-school accent.
Château Moulin de Tricot Margaux 2019
A true left-bank Margaux, primarily Cabernet Sauvignon with at least 25% Merlot, Moulin de Tricot delivers a nose of cedar and violets, and on the palette ripe dark fruit, sweet tobacco, dusty tannins.
Closerie de Pelan Bordeaux Rouge 2000
From the great 2000 vintage, this is majority Cabernet Sauvignon and is in its prime. Rich, fruit-driven, and spicy.
Château Talbot Saint-Julien 2018
This is densely packed with ripe macerated fig, blackberry and plum fruit flavors supported by tar and bramble notes that meld steadily through the finish. Notes of applewood and anise flash throughout. For the cellar. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot.
