We are excited to announce our next tasting event – a deep dive into the Syrah grape. Join us on Wednesday, March 13 at 6 p.m. when General Manager Travis Doyle will share five different Syrah wines from five different growing regions.
Syrah is a dark-skinned grape variety grown throughout the world. It is known for its full body, bold flavors, and high tannin content and typically exhibits aromas and flavors of dark fruits, pepper, and spice. Originating from the Rhône region of France, Syrah has gained immense popularity globally, especially in Australia, where it is called Shiraz and is characterized by its ripe fruit flavors and softer tannins.
This tasting will feature five distinct expressions of Syrah from around the world: Oregon, Washington, California, Australia, and France.
