We are so excited to announce our next tasting event featuring Oregon Pinot Noir! Join us on Tuesday, February 6, at 6 p.m., when General Manager Travis Doyle will lead us through five exceptional wines from some of his favorite producers. This tasting will showcase several single vineyard wines, and one single block wine.
Oregon earned its fame for Pinot Noir due to its ideal climate, closely mirroring that of Burgundy, France, where Pinot Noir originates. This reputation solidified in the 1960s and 1970s when pioneering winemakers proved the grape’s potential in the state’s Willamette Valley. The unique terroir, marked by diverse soil types and a cool, maritime climate, contributes to Oregon Pinot Noir’s distinct character—offering a balance of acidity and fruitiness, often with subtle earthy undertones.
