We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming tasting event, featuring the incredible wines from Martin Woods Winery! Join us on Wednesday, February 19 at 6 p.m. as National Sales Manager Jason Romero leads us through five wines from this very special Oregon vintner.
Martin Woods is hidden in the oak-forested foothills of Oregon’s Coast Range, within the cool-climate McMinnville AVA, Willamette Valley. Martin Woods is both the home and winery for winemaker/vigneron Evan Martin, who has been driven by a passion since 2009 for discovering the most compelling terroir in Oregon. Evan’s small team farms according to sustainable, wholistic principles. His winemaking methods are delicate and natural, but of greatest importance is that a Martin Woods wine promotes the classic qualities of purity, balance, complexity and fine structure that can only result from great terroir combined with wholehearted dedication to art and craft.
The focus at Martin Woods is Willamette Valley Chardonay and Pinot Noir, but Evan also explores production of Gamay, Riesling, Syrah and other varietals. At this tasting we get to sample Riesling, Pinot Noir, and Gamay Noir from the Willamette Valley, as well as Cabernet Franc and Syrah from the Oregon side of the Walla Walla Valley.
TASTING LINEUP:

Expressive aromas of wild berries, florals, dusty earth, flavors of sweet/tart crunchy red fruits with a resonant, chalky, mineral finish.
2022 Hyland Vineyard Pinot Noir
Grown on one of Oregon’s historic vineyards, this Pinot Noir has delicate red fruits, forest floor, mulling spice flavors, with fresh acidity married to silken tannins. It is lithe and elegant, with a resonant finish.
2022 Walla Walla Valley Cabernet Franc
Classic, varietally pure aromas of fragrant garden herbs and peppers. Ripe cherry kirsch fruit on the palate. The wine is silken and refreshing with a balanced, refined structure, energetic texture and a long finish.
