We are excited to invite you to our next tasting event – an exploration of Grenache wines! Join us on Wednesday, May 22 at 6 p.m. as our General Manager Travis Doyle leads us through five expressions of this fantastic grape.
Grenache (known as Garnacha in Spain and Cannonau in Italy) is a versatile red grape that is one of the most widely planted in the world. Grenache is a vigorous and hardy vine and its berries have thin skin and ripen late in the growing season. It is particularly associated with gnarled old vines and grows well in dry, arid conditions. Grenache wines are rich and flavorful, often with notes of strawberries, leather, and citrus.
This tasting will feature five different Grenache wines from around the world. We will have a aromatic Cannonau from the island of Sardinia, an elegant & juicy selection from France, a floral wine from Australia, a natural selection from Walla Walla, and a full-bodied Garnacha from Spain.
