Get ready for an evening of extraordinary French wines! Our next tasting event is Tuesday, July 25 at 6 p.m., where Stuart Mitton with Owen Kotler Selections will lead us through a lineup of some of France’s best wine regions. We will sample sun-kissed rosés of Provence, fresh, crisp whites of Alsace and Mâconnais, and hearty reds of Fleurie and Cahors. No stone will be left unturned!
July 25 French Lineup:
Domaine Realtiere Côteaux d’Aix-en-Provence ‘Pastel’ Rosé
A blend of Grenache, Cinsault, and Syrah, this is a classic and bright Provence rosé. This wine shows off with bright pomegranate, red raspberry, rose petal, white peaches, and fresh herbs.
Achillée Alsace Riesling
This wine is a blend of four different sites with four different soil types: sandstone, gravel, schist, and granite. It is a beautiful, balanced, and structured Riesling showing bosc pear, Honeycrisp apple, and lemon zest.
Michel Guignier Les Améthystes Mâcon-Villages
This terroir-driven Chardonnay is aged on the lees in neutral oak. It is structured with bright, fresh acidity showing golden delicious apples, white nectarines, and underripe pears.
Guillaume Chanudet Fleurie ‘La Madone’
Light-bodied and joyful, this wine is bright ruby in color with notes of black plum, ripe Bing cherry, and baking spice.
Fabien Jouves Mas del Périé ‘La Roque’
Originating from the original home of Malbec, Cahors, this beautiful, rich, and inky expression of the grape is full-bodied with brambly black and blue fruit and a touch of game-y iron.
