Wine Tasting – Foundry Vineyards

For our next tasting event, we are thrilled to host Foundry Vineyards from Walla Walla Valley Washington! On Thursday, April 25 at 6 p.m., Distribution Sales & Production Manager Anna Forge will be at the shop to pour five wines from Foundry’s incredible lineup.

Mark and Patty Anderson started the Walla Walla Foundry with the purpose of facilitating the creation of contemporary art through bronze casting and fabrication. The Foundry has grown and flourished since then, hosting a wide range of amazing artists. In 1998, the Andersons planted 3 ½ acres of grapes on their property – the beginning of Foundry Vineyards. Today, their children, Jay and Lisa Anderson run operations of the winery and the curation of art installations.

Foundry Vineyards is dedicated to the creation of finely crafted, low intervention, and organic wines that express the unique terroir of their vineyard. Their award-winning wines are made with a combination of estate grown fruit from the Walla Walla Valley and thoughtfully sourced small-lot production from premier growing areas around Washington State. Foundry’s commitment to limited production size, around 2,500 cases annually showcases the philosophy of quality over quantity. With deep roots in contemporary art, Foundry Vineyards hopes to reflect the spirit of artistic expression in each wine and continues to be creative with each vintage.

60% Pinot Gris, 40% Pinot Noir from Columbia Gorge AVA. Strawberry, watermelon, white peach, white tea, and just ripe melon rind.

Pét Project Chenin Blanc Pét Nat 2022
Columbia Valley AVA. Naturally sparkling with notes of tangy sourdough, juicy pears, and ripe yellow apples.

Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
Walla Walla AVA. Bright and vibrant notes of Japanese plums, pencil shavings, violets, and thyme.

‘Foundry Red’ Red Blend NV
Walla Walla AVA. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc Blend with notes of blackberries, black cherries, cassis, clove, and allspice.

Syrah 2020
Columbia Valley AVA. Ripe and juicy with notes of boysenberry, marionberry pie, and blue raspberry jolly ranchers.
