We are pleased to invite you to our next tasting event, an exciting exploration of Barbaresco wines! Join us on Wednesday, September 18 at 6 p.m. as local wine expert Andy Cieslak leads us through five great wines from this renowned Italian region.
Barbaresco wine comes from the Piedmont region in Italy. Piedmont translates to “little foot” and is nestled at the bottom of the Alps. Though small, it is one of the most important wine regions in Italy. Most estates here are tiny, family-run operations, focusing on meticulously crafted single varietal wines.
All Barbaresco wine must be made with 100% Nebbiolo grapes. Nebbiolo is native to Piedmont with dark red skin. With prominent tannins, Nebbiolo produces age-worthy wines. The wines featured at this tasting are both ready to drink now and have cellar potential. The event will be a fantastic opportunity to compare the different profiles of Barbaresco wines from a range of highly regarded producers.
