We are excited to invite you to an exclusive tasting event, hosted in collaboration with Banville Wine Merchants. The event will be presented by their western manager, Lucas Holub, on June 6th at 6pm.

Founded over a decade ago, Banville Wine Merchants has built a reputation as a respected and quality-focused importer specializing in boutique wines from across the globe. Their Italian portfolio stands as a crown jewel, demonstrating Banville’s commitment to sourcing wines that capture the terroir diversity, winemaking history, and innovation found across Italy’s renowned wine regions.

Featured Wineries and Wines

At the tasting, we’ll focus on selections from three wineries that epitomize Italy’s winemaking excellence: Terlano, Aldo Rainoldi, and Donatella Cinelli Colombini.

Terlano – Nestled in the northernmost wine-growing region of Italy, Alto Adige, near the Austrian border, Terlano’s reputation is built on its premium white wines that express the region’s high-altitude terrain.

Terlano Alto Adige Pinot Grigio 2021: This high-altitude Pinot Grigio marries bright acidity with crisp, fruit-forward flavors, finishing clean and refreshing.

Aldo Rainoldi – Aldo Rainoldi hails from Valtellina, a region in Lombardy, situated in northern Italy near the Swiss border. The winery crafts Nebbiolo wines distinct from their Barolo and Barbaresco counterparts. The cooler climate and steep, terraced vineyards result in wines that are aromatic, lighter in body, and marked by firm acidity and tannins.

Aldo Rainoldi San Gregorio Rosso di Valtellina: A medium-bodied Nebbiolo with delicate fruit notes and a touch of spice.

Aldo Rainoldi Valtellina Superiore 2019: A complex Nebbiolo with ripe fruit flavors, spice notes, and a long, balanced finish.

Donatella Cinelli Colombini – Donatella Cinelli Colombini’s Tuscan winery is recognized for its commitment to empowering women in the industry, an integral part of their philosophy and operations. Their focus is on crafting high-quality wines that express the distinct character of the Sangiovese grape.

Donatella Cinelli Colombini Rosso di Montalcino 2020: A well-balanced, medium-bodied Sangiovese with a blend of fresh fruit and herb flavors.

Donatella Cinelli Colombini Brunello di Montalcino 2017: A full-bodied Sangiovese with a complex mix of dark fruit and spice notes, strong tannins, and an impressive finish.
