Wine Tasting – An Evening with Master of Wine & Master Sommelier, Doug Frost

We are excited to invite you to a one-of-a-kind wine tasting on Wednesday, August 9, at 6 p.m.! We will taste a range of extraordinary wines from Echolands Winery guided by no less than the owner of the winery himself, Doug Frost. Doug is one of only three individuals globally who simultaneously hold both the Master of Wine and Master Sommelier titles, truly highlighting his vast knowledge and expertise in the field.

Located in the Walla Walla Valley of Washington, Echolands Winery was established in 2018 by Doug and his team, who were drawn to the region’s unique potential to produce elegant, age-worthy wines. They are committed to producing wines that “echo the land’s voice”, capturing the essence of Walla Walla Valley in every bottle.

This intimate evening will feature five wines, including two that are exclusive to the winery and not available to the public, providing an unrivaled taste experience.

2022 Grenache Rosé, Blue Mountain Vineyard – Wine Tasting Exclusive
Made from young Grenache vines, this rosé is succulent and fragrant with aromas of strawberries and spice. It marks the winery’s first venture into rosé, with a distinct focus on freshness and vibrancy.

2022 Grenache, Riviere-Galets Vineyard – Wine Tasting Exclusive
Harvested earlier than most to preserve acidity and maintain fresh, bright flavors, this Grenache from the rocky areas of Walla Walla Valley sees minimal oak contact and is aged in used 500L puncheons.

2019 Walla Walla Syrah
A Rhône-style blend of 98% Syrah and 2% Viognier, this wine captures the essence of Walla Walla Valley with its rich flavors of boysenberry, forest floor, and crushed stone, all elegantly structured to build up to refined tannins.

2019 Seven Hills Red Blend
This Bordeaux-style blend from the prestigious Seven Hills vineyard offers the fruit intensity we expect, but with a more restrained, classic structure. Give it a decant, and the fruit really shines.

2019 Rubrum Red Blend
This Bordeaux-style blend demonstrates Echolands’ commitment to the unique soils of Walla Walla Valley. It seeks to balance differing elements, emphasizing aromatics, acidity, and balance, resulting in wines that gain complexity over time.
