Guigal 40

We are excited to announce an exclusive opportunity to experience the legendary wines of E. Guigal, whose founder Marcel Guigal was once called “this planet’s greatest winemaker” by Robert Parker. Join us on May 9 at 6 p.m. as we explore five exquisite Syrah-based wines from Northern Rhone, crafted by the Guigal family, who have set the benchmark for every Rhone appellation over the last three generations. Their dedication to quality and exceptional value has made them one of the most lauded producers in the world.

The Guigal family’s story began with Etienne Guigal, who founded the firm in 1946. Today, the family’s tradition of leadership and uncompromising excellence is carried on by Etienne’s grandson Philippe. With 150 acres of the finest vineyards in the Northern Rhone, their vineyard management and winemaking techniques have made them an extraordinary force in the wine industry.

May 9 Tasting Lineup:

Côtes-du-Rhône Blanc 2019
Composed of Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Grenache Blanc. Freshness marked by the distinctive aromas of Viognier; white flowers, apricot, acacia and white peach.

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 2019
Composed of Bourboulenc, Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Picardan, Piquepoul and Roussanne. Pale youthful gold and brilliant in color. The wine offers a vibrantly expressive nose of white flowers and peach. The palate is unctuous, balanced and enhanced by a beautiful freshness.

Côtes-du-Rhône Rouge 2019
Deep and dark red. On the nose intensely aromatic, with black fruits and spices. The palate is full, round and yet also racy. Round and smooth tannins present through the full bodied, ample wine.

Crozes-Hermitage 2018
Blackberry candy, blueberry, black raspberries, violets, smoked game, and earth.

Saint-Joseph 2019
Grilled plums and cherry compote aromas mix with exotic spices, cured olives, dried sage, and pencil lead. The savory palate shows umami and allspice, swirling around cherry preserves and wild-strawberry fruit leather.
