La Querce Seconda’s Chianti Classico is 100% Sangivese from 50-year-old vines on galestro soils of loose marl and limestone in San Casciano Val di Pesa. All fruit is farmed organically and hand harvested. The wine is fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel, then aged for 12 moths in a combination of 500-liter barrels and 10-year-old, 2000-liter French oak tonneau. Mid ruby color with lovely aromas of cherry and spice. The palate delivers wonderful tang and powdery tannins with great length and refreshment. Enjoy with grilled pork chops and polenta with a fresh tomato salad.
