Winemaker Notes: Some of Washington State’s nest vineyards have provided fruit for the 2019 e Dissident. Cabernet sauvignon from Quintessence and Klipsun and merlot from Phinny Hill, Red Willow and Olsen are the foundation of this blend. e Dissident is a wine that we create to complement the Dead Horse and Long Haul. e Dissident is built to oer a more approachable wine younger in its development. e fruit was hand harvested between September 9th and October 8th, 2019. e wine was fermented in 1.5, 2 and 5 ton open top fermenters for 7-10 days. Great care is taken in the cellar to handle the must gently; it is never pumped and is gently punched down twice a day. e wine is lightly pressed to barrel where it nishes primary and secondary fermentation and is aged for 18 months in 74% new French oak.
