Kelley Fox Maresh Vineyard Star-of-Bethlehem Flower Block Pinot Noir (2016)
Kelley Fox Maresh Star of Bethlehem Block Pinot Noir 2016 is a stunning wine with a vibrant ruby color and aromas of ripe red fruits, such as cherry and raspberry, that mingle with subtle notes of earthy spice and forest floor. On the palate, this Pinot Noir is beautifully balanced with flavors of bright red fruit and a delicate hint of oak. The tannins are silky and refined, giving the wine a luxurious mouthfeel, while the acidity provides a refreshing lift that lingers on the finish. This wine is a perfect match for roasted duck, grilled salmon or mushroom risotto. Overall, Kelley Fox Maresh Star of Bethlehem Block Pinot Noir 2016 is a testament to the winemaker’s talent and the exceptional quality of the fruit from the Maresh vineyard.
Named for the white flowers that are grown among the rows in this section of the vineyard, this epitomizes the elegant, Old World-style of Oregon Pinot Noir that Kelley Fox first learned while working with David Lett at Eyrie. Layered, tart and seemingly light, it opens with watermelon and berry fruit from 25-year-old Pommard vines. Transparent and pure, it rewards your attention with subtle notes of bark and barrel, and may be tucked to enjoy through 2034.
