Drew Family Cellars Valenti Ranch Pinot Noir (2019) The Valenti Ranch sits at 1300-1450 ft and six miles from the ocean along the Greenwood Ridge. This mostly east facing vineyard is a no till vineyard and is farmed to the organic standard. We have been working with this 24 year old vineyard for 16 years. We grafted an acre and a half over to a Rochioli field selection in 2012. This 2019 vintage includes the Dijon 667, 828, Pommard and the section of Rochioli. Black cherry, exotic tea and forest mushrooms on the nose , on the palate there’s cranberry and pomegranate along with black chanterelles and fir tips with bright acidity providing a long and lifted finish. We are loving the ethereal qualities of this 2019 vintage. Simply a stunner vintage not to miss. Pair with chicken slow cooked in savory spices and roasted root vegetables or a creamy mushroom risotto.
