Devison Vintners Beneath the Stones Syrah (2018)

Medium, ruby red color with a garnet rim, this elegantly weighted Syrah delivers intense earthy and savory notes of ripe tobacco and rooibos tea met by a red fruit component reminiscent of raspberry and pomegranate. Nuances linger of dried autumn leaves, potpourri and parsley. The palate is silky, rich and well-shaped with flavors of spiced plum, raspberry, wet cigar, grilled orange and herbs. Native fermentation in concrete and neutral French oak puncheons (large barrels). Unfined and unfiltered.
