Wine Tasting – Bethel Heights Vineyard
July 22 | 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

We are pleased to invite you to our next tasting event showcasing wines from the impeccable Bethel Heights Vineyard in the Willamette Valley! Join us on Tuesday, July 22 at 6 p.m. when Stuart Mitton of Vinspire Imports will lead us through five wines from this celebrated producer.
Established in 1977, Bethel Heights Vineyard is one of the pioneering estates of Oregon’s Eola-Amity Hills AVA. Founded by twin brothers Ted and Terry Casteel, their wives Pat Dudley and Marilyn Webb, and Pat’s sister Barbara Dudley, Bethel Heights has remained a family-run winery from the beginning. The estate vineyards, planted on ancient volcanic soils, were among the first in the region and are now farmed organically with a focus on sustainability and biodiversity. As stewards of both land and legacy, the family helped shape the identity of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir and continue to be active leaders in the region’s viticultural and environmental efforts.
Today, second-generation winemaker Ben Casteel carries forward the estate’s quiet commitment to elegance and transparency in wine. Bethel Heights is particularly known for its expressive, terroir-driven Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with each bottling offering a distinct voice of the Eola-Amity Hills. These are wines of place, deeply rooted in history and hillside.
TASTING LINEUP
2022 Bethel Heights ‘Estate’ Pinot Noir
This benchmark wine showcases the diversity of the estate’s vineyard blocks, blending structure with graceful fruit. Notes of red cherry, black tea, and forest floor unfold over a refined, silky texture, making it a classic expression of Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir.
2022 Bethel Heights ‘Aeolian’ Pinot Noir
Named for the wind that defines the Eola-Amity Hills, Aeolian Pinot Noir emphasizes finesse and aromatic lift. Sourced from the winery’s most wind-exposed sites, it leans into savory spice, fine tannins, and dark red fruit with a subtle volcanic edge.
2022 Bethel Heights ‘Casteel’ Pinot Noir
A barrel selection from the most compelling lots of the vintage, this is the estate’s most complete and cellar-worthy Pinot Noir. Deep and resonant, with layers of black raspberry, crushed herbs, and earthy complexity, the Casteel bottling is Bethel Heights at its most expressive and refined.
2023 Bethel Heights ‘Estate’ Chardonnay
Bright, textured, and mineral-driven, this estate Chardonnay balances citrus and orchard fruit with cool-climate tension and a subtle touch of oak. Grown on volcanic soils and fermented with native yeasts, it captures the precision and elegance that define Bethel Heights whites.
2022 Bethel Heights ‘Casteel’ Chardonnay
The flagship white of the estate, this Chardonnay is a barrel selection from Bethel Heights’ oldest vines. Rich and layered, yet finely etched, it offers a seamless interplay of lemon curd, saline minerality, and understated oak—designed to evolve beautifully over time.
For nearly 50 years, Bethel Heights has quietly set the standard in the Eola-Amity Hills. Don’t miss the chance to see why their wines continue to resonate year after year.
